The Academy School of Reflexology & Holistic Massage
The school's principal Kathy Pitt,RN(Ret),MAR,Cert Ed, has been teaching Reflexology at Crossroads Oasis since the opening in 2000. After many years in the health service and later as a therapist in a busy clinic Kathy now concentrates on her teaching and The Academy is now highly regarded and attracts students from a wide area including Coventry & Milton Keynes.Joan Innes, MAR,Cert Ed is the assistant tutor and together with her teaching, has a successful therapy practice.
The School is recognised by the Association of Reflexology and offers its ABC accredited course. All students gain student membership with the AOR upon registration.
ITEC courses are also available, again students gain ITEC student membership upon registration.
All courses are recognised by the Skills for Life Council.
Courses offered by The Academy
Practitioner level courses.ABC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology - 2 days a month for 10 months.
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage - 2 days a month for 10 months.
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Indian Head Massage - 2 days a month for 5 months.
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology - (10 x 2 hours sessions)
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Stone Therapy Massage - 2 days a month for 5 months.
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in On Site Massage - 2 days a month for 5 months.
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy - 2 days a month for 5 months.
First Aid Emergency Life Support (1 day) St John Ambulance.
Hopi Ear Candling (1 day) accredited by CTHa.
Most courses are run over weekends but to cater for those with w/e commitments there are also some mid-week courses.
